Jaeger named CHL Player of the Week

 Week Number 10

 Brett Jaeger of the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades is the Canadian Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending on December 1, 2002. Each week during the regular season a CHL Player of the Week is selected based on the three member leagues’ player of the week.

 In three road games last week Jaeger posted a 1.62 goals against average as the Blades recorded three wins. A 19-year old from Manning, Alberta, Jaeger’s save percentage last week was .942 in wins over the Red Deer Rebels, Brandon Wheat Kings and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In 16 appearances this season Jaeger has a 3.49 goals against average.

 Luc Chaisson of the Barrie Colts was selected as the Ontario Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending December 1. In three games last week Chiasson recorded seven points on four goals and three assists.

 The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Offensive Player of the Week is Philippe Dupuis of the Hull Olympiques. In three games last week Dupuis scored four goals and added 2 assists. Goaltender Drew MacIntyre of the Sherbrooke Castors is the QMJHL Defensive Player of the Week. In three games last week the Detroit Red Wings’ draft pick recorded a 1.62 goals against average, a .914 save percentage as the Castors won two of the three games.
